FAQs

What is the Open Ensemble Team?

Our Open Ensemble National Team is a competitive Theatre on Ice team that brings together a maximum of fourteen skaters of varying levels to create cohesive, high-level performances.

Is Theatre on Ice experience required to join the team?

No. While experience is useful, our program trains skaters to be strong Theatre performers in accordance with United States Figure Skating's TOI guidelines.

Is traveling involved?

Yes. You can expect to travel to at least one non-qualifying competition and Nationals. Travel varies based on competition locations. Once the season schedules are finalized, the coaching staff will notify the team.

How do you work with different skill levels on the same team?

Our choreography is designed to play to individual skaters' strengths while building overall unity and performance value. Every skater is integral.
